Sarah Hill

12 time Emmy award winning reporter for the Veterans United Network, the broadcast channel for Veterans United in Columbia, MO. Sarah also freelances at KOMU-TV . She was the first journalist to use a Google+ Hangout on TV and continues to mentor broadcasters and businesses on how to use Human Media to connect with their audience face to face in real time. Sarah believes human media (interaction via webcam) is the new layer of Social Media. The Mizzou Journalism grad and former adjunct professor is also a Glass Explorer. She's using the new technology to bring aging Veterans closer to their memorials via online "Hero Tours". Sarah has covered the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami in Sri Lanka and Indonesia and produced documentaries in Guatemala and Vietnam about people who have to crawl because they have no other source of mobility.
