Lam Thuy Vo is an interactive editor for Al Jazeera America, where she leads a team of developer-reporters and works with the newsroom on a multi-platform approach to storytelling. Before coming to Al Jazeera, she was a multimedia producer for NPR's Planet Money where she created interactives, data visualizations, videos and photographs to explain economic issues in visual ways. Lam has also spearheaded video operations for The Wall Street Journal in Asia, where she worked with more than a dozen bureaus to create breaking news stories and enterprising multimedia projects. During her stint in Asia she also reported and produced videos and interactives on subjects ranging from China’s property market to the 2011 Japanese earthquake to climate change issues in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. She is an educator in multimedia reporting, data journalism and infographics and has taught journalists across the globe - from Alaska to Frankfurt to Hong Kong.
