Charo Henríquez is the Innovation Editor of GFR Media, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She began her journalistic career in 1996 as a Business reporter for El Nuevo Día, Puerto Rico’s largest daily circulation newspaper. In 2000 she began working online, as a Senior Producer for elnuevodia.com, and later as Multimedia Editor, Digital Program Manager and Associate Digital Business Director within GFR Media. She specializes in content optimization and social media strategy, project management, data journalism and is passionate about innovation in journalism from both content and platform perspectives. She has served as a speaker and educational resource in events related to technology and media, and holds a Bachelor in Journalism and Telecommunications, from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, in San Juan, as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.
