Burt Herman is co-founder of Storify, an application for telling stories with social media that was acquired by Livefyre in September 2013. He is also founder of Hacks/Hackers, a worldwide organization bringing together journalists and technologists. Storify is used worldwide by top media organizations, companies, political groups and non-profits, and has won numerous awards including the Online Journalism Award for digital innovation and SXSW Interactive social media prize. Burt previously covered stories around the world as an Associated Press journalist for 12 years. He was a 2008-9 Knight journalism fellow at Stanford University, where he also earlier graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
