Barbara Wall is Vice President/Senior Associate General Counsel of Gannett Co., Inc. where she advises Gannett's newspapers, broadcast stations and digital properties on a variety of issues, including online developments, intellectual property, data privacy and libel. A graduate of University of Virginia College of Arts & Sciences and School of Law, Barbara is a member of Practicing Law Institute’s annual Communications Law in the Digital Age program faculty, is Past Chair of American Bar Association’s Forum on Communications Law and the Newspaper Association of America's Legal Affairs Committee, and serves on the board of the Media Institute in Washington, D.C. Since 2007, Barbara has been an adjunct faculty member at American University and George Washington University. Barbara and her husband Chris have two children, a son, Read, and a daughter, Louisa. Their hobbies include hiking and recently they all climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.
