Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the world’s busiest, with nearly 90 million passengers annually. The airport has direct flights to most larger U.S. cities and to Europe, South America, and Asia. In 2012, the airport opened a new International Terminal. For conference attendees leaving to return home, make sure to go to and check in at the new international terminal if your eventual destination is not in the U.S.

We also encourage you to fly with Delta when planning your trip to Atlanta. We’ve secured a special discount for ONA13 attendees who choose to fly with Delta Airlines: 10 percent for full/non-restrictive flights and 5 percent for restricted/discounted flights. Book at delta.com by selecting “More Search Options” and entering the Meeting Event Code NMGE9.

The Marriott Marquis Hotel is located just 12 miles north of Atlanta’s airport. Valet parking is $32.00 daily at the hotel and nearby offsite parking lots are roughly $4.00 hourly or $20.00 daily. In general, we recommend using the inexpensive Atlanta subway or taxi to reach the hotel.

Atlanta’s airport is the end-stop of Atlanta’s MARTA subway system’s red and yellow lines, which connect it with downtown. For a $2.50 one-way fare, attendees can reach the hotel by taking either the red or yellow northbound lines to the Peachtree Center stop. The hotel is then a short two-block walk (north and east) from the subway station. Alternately, there is a pedestrian tunnel that connects the Peachtree Center station to the hotel lobby. Please note that the subway station at the airport is next to the domestic terminal, so passengers arriving at the new international terminal must take a short tram ride over to the subway station.

Taxi service from Atlanta’s airport to the Marriott Marquis takes takes about 20 minutes (depending on traffic) and is approximately $30, not including gratuity. Taxis at the domestic terminal can be found at the ground transportation center, located at the west end of the building, and for the international terminal, just outside the arrival area. Attendees should be aware that at rush hour the ride may take significantly longer due to traffic congestion on the main highways connecting downtown to the airport.

Uber is a mobile app that allows you to request car service whenever and wherever you need it. Download the app from the iStore or GooglePlay (you can also Uber from your BlackBerry or through SMS), register an account and prepare for a seamless and stress free ride through Atlanta during ONA13.

The fare estimate will display before booking, so you don’t need to worry about going for a ride before you even get in the car. Once you send a request, your private driver will arrive in about 10 minutes, and your credit card on-file is charged directly for your fare. No tipping — no cash.

ONA has secured two unique promo codes for the ONA13 conference: ONAATL. It gives first-time users $40 off an Uber trip taken in Atlanta from October 16 through October 31. The code ONAExistingUber gives gives ONA attendees who are already Uber users $5 off one ride during the conference.

Getting to the Hotel
