Rick Hancock is Editor of MyAJC.com, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's subscriber website. He also writes the AJC's technology blog. Prior to AJC he served as Digital Platform Director for CT1 Media, New England's largest multimedia newsroom. He managed day-to-day and long-term digital initiatives for The Hartford Courant and Fox CT's websites, mobile and social media platforms. Hancock also delivered on-air technology reports for The FoxCT Morning News. Prior to CT1 Media, he was CEO of Potpourri Media, a digital multimedia consulting company. From 2008 to 2011 Hancock was an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Journalism at the University of Connecticut and created the department's first social media and entrepreneurial journalism courses. From 2006 to 2008 Hancock served as a Dean and a Professor of Digital Journalism at Quinnipiac University. He earned a MS in Interactive Communications from Quinnipiac and a BA in Political Science from Howard University.
