Katie Zhu is a design-minded developer, currently building things at Medium. Previously, she worked on the interactive team at The New York Times and the news applications team at NPR. She's passionate about design and technology's ability to better the world around us, and is interested in building tools to strengthen connections among individuals. Katie was a finalist for the OpenNews fellowship, an inaugural AP-Google scholar, and graduated from Northwestern University with majors in computer science and journalism.
