Dan is a civic software developer meets geek activist. He gets excited about the intersection of government, social networks, agile programming and activism. Dan currently works at Granicus as the Deputy CTO, creating new products that connect journalists, citizens, city staff and public officials around open legislative data in 1000+ governments. Previously, he was the CTO of Code for America. Hailing from the midwest, Dan received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science, his masters in Public Administration and doctorate in Public Affairs and Economics from the Henry Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
