Anthea is a consultant with the Civic Innovation team at Google.org focused on the collection, integration and validation of civic data. In 2012, as the Director of Voter Experience with the Obama campaign's technology team, Anthea led a group of developers working to create voter engagement tools. Prior to joining the campaign, she worked at the New Organizing Institute where she managed the Voting Information Project — an effort to collect, standardize and distribute through an open API a nationwide database of polling locations and election related information. Anthea is passionate about data standards, social software and the intersection of the internet and civic systems.
