Job Fair — FAQ for Recruiters

How do I register for a recruiting table at the ONA13 Job Fair, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 17-18, 2013?

Registration is $250 per company/title/station/publication for one table, which includes admission for two recruiters. A table also earns each attending recruiter a special registration rate for the three-day conference (Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 17-19). Recruiters who sign up before August 30 receive the early bird member rate of $439. After that date, recruiters receive a $49 discount off general conference registration.

Please note that if you are sending more than two recruiters, a second table must be reserved.

How do I register for conference?

You will receive an unique link for discounted registration after you purchase your Job Fair table(s).

What is the program schedule?

The Job Fair will open Thursday, Oct. 17, from 12:45 p.m.-5 p.m., and continue Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

What time will the tables be available?

Job Fair tables will be ready for your setup at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

What is the tear-down time?

Tear-down is Friday, Oct. 18, at 1:15 p.m.

Where will the Job Fair be located?

The Job Fair will be located in the Marriott Marquis Ballroom.

When will tables be assigned? Is there a layout of the Job Fair area?

Tables will be assigned by September 15.

What is provided at the Job Fair tables?

  • One 6′ × 30″ draped table
  • Two chairs
  • Waste basket
  • Conference wireless connection

There will be wireless service in the recruiter area. If you are interested in a hard-wired connection, please use the attached Application for Services Form to order. To pay via credit card, please use this form (downloads Word file).

What are the ship-to procedures, address and charges?

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis provides services for receiving, handling, and delivering materials to visiting guests. Should you wish to ship materials directly to the Hotel, please review and complete the Exhibitor Request Form and send to the hotel directly.

The Marquis does not accept Exhibit Hall freight or COD shipments.

If you are shipping packages to ONA for the conference bag, plan on 1,500 pieces, and please use this address format to make sure your package is delivered promptly:

FedEx handles shipping and receiving of all guest packages for the hotel. You can call the Shipping/Receiving Dept. at extension 6664 or the FedEx Business Office at ext. 6190 if you have any questions about your packages. There will be FedEx personnel available to answer your questions about shipping and receiving packages from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends.

If you have questions about shipping in advance of the conference the email address isamt0363@fedex.com. If you have questions about having materials printed or copied, or questions about signs and graphics that you may need prepared on-site, email usa0363@fedex.com.

At the conclusion of your conference outgoing packages can be taken to the FedEx Business Office or picked up by FedEx personnel anywhere in the hotel. Fees on outgoing packages are similar to receiving fees. Packages taken to the Business Center for shipping out will be charged the same as the receiving fee described in the shipping instruction fax. Fees for packages picked up by FedEx personnel in the hotel will be subject to the same fee as the Delivery fee described in the shipping instructions.

Please make sure that your packages are delivered only to the FedEx Business Center or are picked up by FedEx personnel. Please do not leave your packages with a Concierge, Bell Stand personnel or Front Desk personnel.

The FedEx Business Center does not process shipping labels for other shipping services besides FedEx. Guest will have to have labels already prepared and applied to their outgoing packages for other services, like UPS, USPS, Freight Carriers, etc. Many such services allow you to go online and prepare your labels for printing and attaching to your packages.

How do I order show services and storage?

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis does not offer special items such as brochure racks, book displays or furniture. Please look for nearby outside event specialists.

Where will boxes and crates be stored during the conference?

You can store shipping materials under exhibit tables.

How do I order a computer or computer screens if I need extras?

Contact the Atlanta Marriott Marquis AV company, American Audio Visual Center (AAVC), which provides the hotel’s technical needs. They can be reached at (404) 586-6518.

Will there be electricity in the exhibit area?

Yes. Please use the attached Application For Services Form to order and email to the contacts on the bottom of the form.

How do I get listed on the Attending Recruiters page on the ONA13 website?

After registering for the recruiter table, you will receive instructions for submitting your logo and company information.

Can I purchase an advertisement in the program?

Yes. Rates for the ONA13 program guide are:

Ad only, full: $2,500
Ad only, half: $2,000
Ad only, quarter: $1,500

Program advertisement specifications (based on 7.5” X 8.5” page, no bleed):
Full-page ad: 6.5″ x 7.5″
Half-page (horizontal): 6.5″ x 3.625″
Quarter-page (vertical): 3.125″ x 3.625″
